Great New Bookmarklet
Ever wanted to print something from the web, but there was way too much junk and not enough content for it to be worth it? I know I have. I love to play guitar. So, I like to check out new tabs online and I often print these tabs. However, over the years, it has become an increasing pain to do this due to ads, junk text, more ads, more junk text, irrelevant information, etc. Well, check out Printliminator. Chris Coyier and Devon Govett of CSS Tricks have done a great service to everyone by creating this bookmarklet. It’s so easy. Just drag the bookmarklet to your browser’s toolbar and whenever you come across something to print, just click and begin to eliminate the areas you don’t want on your printed page. Or, option-click (Mac) alt-click (Windows) the area you do want to print and you’re done! Of course, there are a number of other options. Just watch their video and see for yourself.

This is a fantastic applet. I find that, even when a page has a “Print Article” or “Format for printing” option, opening the link in a new window or tab allows me to prune even more graphics using Printliminator.
